This beautiful handmade Elk drum was built from scratch with materials locally sourced from a native drum supply shop in Washington State. The drum has a suede leather wrap on the handle. The turtle-shaped palm rattle is also made from elk hide and is filled with corn for a nice bright sound. Both the drum and rattle are handprinted with a Peyote emblem. The kit comes with a nice mallet that has a leather wrap on the handle.
These frame drums are deceptively simple. Their versatility makes them great for shamanic journeys, ceremonies, sound healing and of course, just playing music.
