"Flower Totem" Original Acrylic Painting

About:
This painting was started one sunny afternoon: painting in the backyard with a friend. It was completely improvised with no pre-existing vision in mind.
As it developed, I started to see some kind of owl-like creature emerging from the purely abstract beginnings. Those 'eyes' became flowers and then some foliage felt appropriate.
I'm not sure of the meaning, maybe there is no specific meaning, maybe "meaning" is overrated; humans searching to understand-to-death everything! Regardless, I like this one. It just feels like an honoring of nature and the great mystery of life.
