I portrait of a very powerful plant which is often not respected as much as it deserves. With this portrait I wanted to call in that respect and intention that can often be lacking when we connect to its spirit.
The word “marijuana” is a name that conveys the complexity of this plant. It’s a combination of “Mary”, as in the virgin and “Juana”, a slang term which means prostitute! And so one of the most common names for this plant is hinting at its complex nature.
