"Lakshmi Goddess of Abundance" 11x18 - giclee paper print

This is my third deity painting, a portrait of goddess Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of wealth and abundance. While painting this portrait I was reciting her mantra for forty days and feeling deeply her lessons. I think I realized that I had most of the abundance I wished for. There was a real sense of gratitude and waking up to the truths right before my eyes, there was more clarity.
Lakshmi’s arms represents four kinds of abundance": dharma (pursuit of ethical, moral life), artha (pursuit of wealth, means of life), kama (pursuit of love, emotional fulfillment), and moksha (pursuit of self-knowledge, liberation).
Please enjoy this painting, it is my hope that I did Lakshmi’s image justice with this humble portrait.
