Grandfather San Pedro, as it is sometimes called is historically referred to as Hauchuma.
Painted in 2022 at one of the sub-camps of the Oregon Country Fair. I was there as a live painter and started with a blank white board and very little plan of how I would bring the spirit of this plant to life.
I started off painting with my hands and it was so much fun to approach it this way, I was sucked into a very easy and joyful process and by the end of the weekend the painting was nearly done!
