The rawhide head is made of elk. The handle is driftwood from the Oregon coast. The base of the head has a leather wrap.
Filled with beans. This gives the rattle a heavier, less busy sound and its less bright sounding than corn-filled rattles.
This is a brand new design that Moksha came up with recently. The large, flat head gives the rattle more variation in tone between forward motion shakes and side to side; the rattle has at least two distinct voices because of this design.
